Tips for a Healthy Heart

Follow these tips to keep your heart in good shape!

How can we ensure that our hearts remain healthy for the rest of our lives? It is best to begin heart care as soon as possible! Stop smoking and keep a healthy weight. Follow these suggestions as well.

Do you believe that because you are young & healthy you wont be affected by heart disease. Do you think this  is only for the elderly, this mindset is completely incorrect. Food has such an impact on young people's cardiovascular health. If you care about your heart, quit smoking and avoid gaining too much weight on your hips.

Healthy Heart

"A healthy diet is very important, so we should try to avoid sugary drinks," says Dr. Bosina Rautenberg of the University of Wisconsin Berlin. We should avoid eating fatty foods, such as fast food, which is available at every turn, every day.

Cabbage, bananas, and even almonds are good examples for potassium-rich fruits and vegetables for the heart. Potassium dilates blood vessels and prevents arrhythmias in the heart. Melathi or licorice, on the other hand, is not recommended. Because the sweet made from it depletes the body of potassium. "Licorice contains glucoside, and glucoside interferes with the body's hormone metabolism," explains Dr. Bosina Rautenberg. This means that it prevents certain hormones, such as cortisol, from being broken down, resulting in an increase in the amount in our bodies. Cortisol is a stress hormone that also affects water and electrolyte balance and can lead to high blood pressure.

Dark chocolate, according to Dr. Rautenberg, is beneficial to the heart. "I recently read a Portuguese study in which 30 patients consumed 90 percent chocolate containing 90 percent cocoa, i.e. 20 grams or two pieces per day." And it was discovered that it lowered blood pressure after four weeks. This means that one or two pieces of 70 to 90% dark chocolate per day are beneficial.

On the other hand, too much salt is bad for our hearts. Nutritionists believe that salt in food causes problems. The sodium ion binds to water molecules, and as the amount in the body increases, so does the volume of the blood vessels. As a result, the blood pressure begins to rise.

Exercise causes the heart to beat faster, which is a good thing. "The heartbeat must be rapid, and the body must be in motion," Dr. Rautenberg says. In general, escalators and elevators should be avoided. If you're taking public transportation, get off at the first stop so you can walk. "Make walking a regular habit of your day."

It is critical that you avoid stress and manage your time effectively. According to Dr. Bosina Rautenberg: "Stress can cause blood pressure to fluctuate, which is dangerous. So, after the stress phase, make sure you enter the 'active relaxation' phase. 'Active calm' implies that you must move. This is one of the most effective ways to deal with stress."

So here are two heart-healthy tips. Reduce stress in your daily life by exercising once a day.
